Enos Fountain

Im glad I read all of what was said about enos,all I knew was a mean person who treated my mom bad,at least I know somewhere in him he was good to people,just not my mom or her kids.

My Great Uncle Enos, was such a fun guy, always had a joke or a story.
A few years ago he and Fonda spent a few days with us at our home. It was a beautiful day, and I asked him if he'd like to go for a walk, he said, no, I walked clear across France, and that's all the walking I want to do. Later seeing his purple heart on the wall and many momenotos, I knew part of

We had so many fun times over the years, playing cards, the Fountains all loved to play cards, I still teach one of those card games that I learned from Enos and his brothers, Bob, and Clifford to our friends and family.

He will be forever missed by Jay and I.

I meant Enos and Fonda at the church my Dad was a pastor at in Promise City,Ia.They were a lovely couple and later helped with my wedding on Dec.1st of 2000.They did a great job videos and the works plus it had snowed 7 inches by 7:00 that evening.They were very special and loving people.I also was impressed when I seen Enos had carved a mushroom out of wood I still have the newspaper clipping with his picture.I am very sad for his family.He went to a grand place i'm sure!!!

One day while visiting, Enos was talking about making pie for some reason that I don't remember. He said that before you put the top crust on, you should moisten the edge of the bottom crust with the juices of the filling. That will keep your two pieces of crust from breaking apart when you cut it. I had never heard that before, so the next time I made a pie, I tried it. It worked! Every single time I

The stories that he would tell would capture any young man wanting to experience the things that he went through but leaving the stories with a laugh and a smile. The last time that I saw him was 2 years ago after going to the Pella tulip festival. It had been years since a visit. He still showed that American true grit, with laughter and a story. Bless your heart Uncle Enos.

Sorry to hear of Enos's passing. Fonda and Enos have been great neighbors in the 17 years we have lived across the street from them. He will be missed

I was so sorry to hear of the loss of Enos. Enos and Fonda have been friends to me and my family for many years. I will miss him.
