Robert "Bob" Skidmore, 77, of Centerville, passed away peacefully at home on March 21, 2016.

Bob is survived by his wife, Barbara of Centerville; son, Bob of Des Moines, and daughters, Kandi (David) Rohrs of Auburn, Nebraska and Kelli Ann (Roger) Freeksen of Des Moines; and a sister, Carolyn (Bob) Bucklin of Des Moines.

Bob was preceded in death by his mother, father, daughter, four brothers and three sisters.

Bob was a fireman in Des Moines, Iowa and San Rafael, California. Bob retired from the Fire Department in 1975, and returned to Iowa where he worked for Grinnell Mutual ReInsurance Company.

Graveside Services will be held at 2 PM, Thursday, March 24, 2016 at Oakland Cemetery in Centerville, Iowa with Deb Egeland officiating. A visitation will take place on Thursday, March 24, 2016 at Lange Funeral Home and Crematory in Centerville from 1-2 PM. Memorials have been established to the Prostate Cancer Foundation or to the Society of the Little Flower of Darien, Illinois and may be mailed to Lange Funeral Home and Crematory, 1900 S. 18th St., Centerville, Iowa, 52544.
