Tribute & Message From The Family

Neal Agan, age 63 of Brazil, Iowa passed away Tuesday, May 24, 2016 at his home.

He was born on August 24, 1952 in Centerville, Iowa, the son of Homer and Edith (Miller) Agan. Neal graduated from Seymour High School.

Neal held several different jobs throughout his lifetime. Most recently, he had been employed with Cargill in Ottumwa, Iowa for the past several years.

He loved spending time with family and friends. Neal often enjoyed taking long drives cruisin' the country gravel roads. He was known to be a generous and kind person. Yet, Neal could also be a prankster, often joking with those around him. He tried not to take life too serious.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and two brothers, Carl Agan and Clifford Agan.

A visitation will take place in Neal's honor on Friday, May 27, 2016 at Lange Funeral Home and Crematory in Centerville, Iowa, with the family greeting friends from 6-8 PM. According to Neal's wishes, he will be cremated following the visitation. A private, family inurnment will follow at a later date in the Numa Cemetery, Numa, Iowa. Memorials have been established to either the American Cancer Society or HCI Hospice Care Services (Formerly Known as Hospice of Central Iowa) and may be mailed to Lange Funeral Home, 1900 S. 18th St., Centerville, Iowa, 52544. I first met Neal while working at the Benac Foundry( so many years ago). Homer was working there also. Neal always spoke when I 'd see him and every now and then he'd stop at my brother's garage. He will be missed and so sorry for your loss. Prayers to the family and may God be with all.
