Gladys L. Hurtt, age 96 of Centerville, Iowa passed away Monday, May 16, 2016 at Mercy Medical Center, Long Term Care in Centerville, Iowa.

I've known Gladys since 1978. She worked as a janitor at the High School, and I was the secretary. She would make coffee and bring it to us in the office.
She loved my Grandchildren and even kept them for short times. Over the years she needed someone to help her with bookwork and little errands. Sometimes she needed a shoulder to cry on.
When she got all dressed up, she was a very attractive lady with her beautiful white hair.
Gladys loved her family deeply. She loved them through all the good and bad times. She professed her belief in God to me and we talked about prayer.
I will always remember Gladys. Marge T.
