Condolence & Memory Journal

Charlie became a friend of mine while I was teaching band at Moravia. He always volunteered his time and talents to help out with sound and lighting during our musicals and variety shows. I learned a lot from this great man. He showed me how to set-up and care for soundboards, mics, audio cords, and fittings. I always loved to hear his past stories of travels with his bands and talented singers he got to work with. We had a lot in common with our love of music and running sound systems at varies events, including the Ottumwa balloon races. It was here that Charlie even helped guide me to get involved going up in a balloon during the races...and we got first place! We could always share these good memories when we got together. The world will miss this wonderful man.

I'm so sorry for your loss. He was an important part of my high school life. Musicals and the Variety Show wouldn't have been the same without his hard work and dedication.
