Harold R. Lindley, age 89 of Centerville, Iowa died Tuesday, July 3, 2012 at Mercy Hospital in Des Moines, Iowa.

Harold was born February 19, 1923 at Moulton, Iowa the son of John Russell Lindley and Dorothy Piper Lindley . He married Garnette M. Sager July 25, 1942 at Lancaster, Missouri. Harold was a carpenter through his life working with Bob Robb, Ronnie Norton and Joe Zaputil. As he retired he loved to play golf with his brother Garold, nephews and friends at the Manhattan Golf course.

Harold is survived by a daughter Virginia (Michael) Lindley-Brunn of Penrose, Colorado; four grandchildren Justin (Rachel) Lindley of Plano, IL, Helena Brunn of Penrose, Colorado, Janelle Lindley of Moravia and Martine (Clyde) Bondy of Unionville, MO; eleven great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; brother Garold of Rathbun, IA, Murl Lindley of Ottumwa, and a sister Hazel Franklin, Lake Havasu, AZ.

He was preceded in death by his wife Garnette in 1995, son Richard in 1983, brothers Max, Fred and Holton and sisters Fay Daniels, Mary Carter and Mildred
Appler.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held 11AM Saturday, August 4, 2012 at the Lange Funeral Home & Crematory, Centerville with Pastor Marvin Lindley officiating. Visitation will be Saturday 10 AM until 11AM at the Funeral Home. A graveside service at Mt Ayr cemetery will immediately follow the service. At 1 o'clock there will be a luncheon at the Beck Mansion.
