Memories & Candles
I just learned of Twilia's death. Twilia was a first cousin to me. I was 3 1/2 years younger but remember well going to her wedding at the Centerville Nazarene church and seeing her through the years at family gatherings and funerals. She was always good to call my parents, Harry and Zelma Jennings. My thoughts and sympathy are with the family. Janet Jennings O'Hair

Twilla meant so much to my mom Genora Houser. Even though we were first cousins we didn't see each other much but wanted to leave my sincere sympathy to the family. May God give you comfort and peace.

I will always remember Twillia as a loving, caring, down to earth pastor's wife who truly loved the Lord, her family, and her congregation. She was a genuine witness for Christ! She will be missed!

Twilla you were always kind, compassionate and loving. A devoted Christian, faithful and loving wife, devoted mother, granother and so much more. You were like a second Mom to me. I remember the first night I came over to spend the night with your daughter and my best friend Lydia. You welcomed me in and that was the beginning of a lifetime of friendship between me and your daughter and we still are friends. I remember you feeding that little

Twillia and I grew up together on the east side of Des Moines. When she married Donald, I was her Maid of Honor. We lost track of each other when they went off to Seminary. While having lunch in Newton one day a couple or three years ago, I saw her and told my husband I thought I knew her so I walked over to her, leaned down and asked if she would mind telling me her name... she said

Our prayers & sympathies are with you all at this time. Such fond memories of Twillia...from her encouraging me to go to camp for the first time & then being my counselor because I was so homesick to VBS, revivals, camp meeting & being my pastor's wife in Lacona. I will cherish the memories & am thankful for her Godly influence in my life over the years. She will be greatly missed!!

My heart hurts for you and with you. I first met "Sister" Williams when they came to pastor at the Lacona Church of the Nazarene. I have many fond memories of her from over the years... quizzing, Bible school, prayer meetings, revivals, church camp... A wonderful Christian example! A genuine extension of Christ's love! Praying God's peace and love surround you!
